Today we have an SEC match-up where Florida has quietly gone 2-0 and 3-1 overall.
Last week Arkansas lost their conference opener against Texas A&M in a high scoring affair.
Arkansas has a strong rushing attack as they average 237 yards per game on the ground
which is 2nd in the SEC. Last week they faced A&M who has the worst defense against the run,
as they give up an average of 215 yards per game on the ground. Today they face the rushing defense
of Florida, which is the #1 rushing defense in the SEC and the #1 rushing defense in the country,
as they average giving up only 54 yards per game on the ground.
Florida also averages giving up less than 13 points per game, as their
overall defense is ranked 8th in the country and 1st in the SEC.
In the SEC Florida has the #1 rushing defense, #1 passing defense, #1 scoring defense, and #1 total defense.
Texas A&M however is at the bottom of the SEC in all those categories.
Arkansas is in for a rude awakening today, as they play on the road
against a very different type of defense that they faced last week.
The Hogs are one dimensional on offense, as they rank next to last
in the SEC and 105th in the country in passing offense.
If they do turn to their passing game, Florida has the #1 pass defense in the SEC.
Arkansas has racked up their impressive rushing stats against
the likes of LaLafayette, Samford, So.Miss and Texas A&M.
These are very poor rushing defenses.
On the road against Rutgers they only rushed for 101 yards.
Rutgers averages giving up only 70 yards per game on the ground.
Florida has beaten SEC Tennessee and Kentucky.
After playing Arkansas at home today, they must face in the upcoming
weeks 4 of their next 5 conference opponents away from home.
Those games will be against Lsu, Missouri, Georgia, and So.Carolina.
They can't afford to let this one slip away. Florida is 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS versus Arkansas.
Arkansas is 0-10 ATS after playing a home game the past 2 seasons.
Florida is 17-5 ATS after allowing 75 or less rushing yards in 2 straight games.
So far this season Florida has given up on the ground 50, 50, 66, and 48 yards rushing in their 4 games.
